Moderate winds continue to ease as high pressure moves in from the north. This sees a brief return of mostly fair weather today with light to moderate winds. Thereafter, winds will restrengthen into Monday as another frontal system begins to approach with isolated to scattered showers later that night. Moderate to rough seas abate becoming moderate today before rebuilding rough on Monday.

Would you believe the wind is coming back? Sigh…. And more rain late tonight.

A low moving to our north will soon drag a warm front near us, then winds rapidly become strong and gusty today ahead of a cold front due to cross later tonight. Lingering cloud will thin to allow more sunshine over the weekend, though it will feel cooler with lower humidity. OK… We’ll take that.

Settled and bright for today.

High pressure anchored to the south will push a ridge over us, maintaining settled conditions into early Friday. A low moves in sweeping a warm front over us tonight followed by strong gusty winds ahead of a cold front late Friday night. Lingering cloud will thin to allow more sunshine over the weekend, though it will feel cooler with lower humidity…. And that’s just fine.

Quite a bit of cloud cover this morning, but the good news – Easing winds and mainly dry.

High pressure is now beginning to build across the area, allowing the strong, gusty winds to ease and the showers to fade away. It promises to be largely fair through the remainder of the week, other than a few showers Wednesday night as a weak front passes. Very rough seas ease moderate to rough later today.

A few blustery showers linger this morning.

Deep low pressure meandering to the northwest will maintain strong, gusty winds through this evening. It will also steer some blustery showers across the area. By tomorrow, the low lifts well to the north and east, allowing high pressure to build in. This will bring more settled conditions, although it will remain quite breezy. A weak front then passes later on Wednesday bringing a few showers.

A bright morning ahead despite the patchy cloud at times.



Enjoy the beautiful settled conditions this morning.  Our high pressure slowly moves away to the northeast and in its place we have a strong complex frontal system moving in.   Winds will strengthen later this afternoon.  Gale force winds, storm force gusts, heavy showers, and thunderstorms become likely as this front combs through the area on Saturday. Windy conditions are due to remain while cooler temperatures enter to close the weekend.

Expect a dry and sunny start to the week as high pressure exits to the east.An active cold front will bring a return of wet and windy weather by this evening. High pressure then returns tomorrow with drier weather before a series of low pressure systems skirt by to our distant north and south.

Conditions then settle later today into Monday, before the next front approaches later Monday to bring further wet and windy weather.
