Low pressure now off the U.S. mid-Atlantic coast will gradually deepen and move northeast. As the associated cold front approaches expect strong to near gale winds today with showers and a chance of thunder this evening. Fair weather and light to moderate winds follow for Monday. Another frontal system brings rain, showers, likely thunder and strong winds Tuesday and Wednesday.

High pressure to our northwest will move eastward while the departing cold front stalls to our southeast today. Expect moderate to strong winds easing to moderate today. Winds become moderate to strong Saturday and strong to near gale Sunday with a new, stronger cold front bringing showers and a chance of thunder later Sunday. Seas rise moderate to rough Sunday and Monday.

Fair today, though winds become moderate as high pressure drifts eastward which will open the door for a cold front to sweep across the island on Thursday sending showers, chance of thunder and moderate to strong winds. A breezy Friday as high pressure passes to the north with patchy cloudiness and a chance for drizzle.

Light winds with sunshine dimmed at times.
High pressure dominates through tomorrow, giving largely settled weather. Light and variable winds increase moderate southerly on Wednesday ahead of a cold front expected to cross the area Thursday afternoon. This brings scattered showers with it and a pulse of northerly strong winds behind, then gradually easing into Friday as conditions improve. Mainly slight seas increase moderate on Thursday.

Sunny periods, a light shower early, improving skies later.


A weak frontal trough situated to our near north will maintain partially sunny skies, a chance for a light shower or two and continued light winds early on Easter Sunday. This trough will dissipate and skies shall improve from late afternoon onward as high pressure to the north and east becomes our dominant fair weather feature through Wednesday. Slight seas become moderate for a time Sunday.

High pressure over Bermuda will continue to provide mainly fair weather with light winds today. This high weakens allowing a cold front to approach from the northwest tonight, stalling near to our north. This may produce a shower or two tonight and Sunday morning. High pressure then rebuilds as the front dissipates providing light to moderate winds and slight occasionally moderate seas through Wednesday.

A broad ridge of high pressure over the area will provide light winds and fair to fine weather today and tomorrow. A cold front will weaken as it approaches early Sunday and stall near to our north possibly producing a light shower or two. As this front dissipates high pressure rebuilds providing fair to fine weather and light winds through Tuesday. Smooth to slight seas build slight to moderate for Sunday.

Morning clouds slowly dissipate this afternoon, light winds.
High pressure builds in from the west, yet stubborn cloud cover will not clear until later today. Expect increasing sunshine, warmer temperatures and light winds on Good Friday and into Saturday. A very weak frontal boundary to the northwest will draw near on Easter which may bring increased cloud cover, but winds are likely to remain rather light. Seas continue to abate and become mainly slight over the weekend.
