The promise of some decent rain continues…

A stationary front to our near south is expected to lift back overhead today and tomorrow. Expect isolated showers with a chance of thunderstorms developing in the area until Friday, when conditions improve. Light to moderate southerly winds soon settle southwest to increase and perhaps touch strong for a time this afternoon. Slight to moderate seas gradually abate smooth to slight for the weekend.

A frontal trough expected to cross the area today becomes slow moving to our near south/overhead for mid week. Showery and at times thundery conditions prevail today with moderate to strong winds and occasional gustiness. Showers become spotty with light to moderate winds this evening onward. Moderate seas begin to abate slight to moderate on Wednesday…. if it was anything like yesterday, it was much ado about nothing.

Low pressure to our northwest will gradually move northeastward. The associated cold front will slowly drag through Bermuda on Tuesday. Expect developing showers today with a risk of thunder until the front clears Tuesday evening. Light to moderate winds this morning increase moderate to strong by this afternoon, easing again later Tuesday. Mainly fair weather and moderate winds are expected for Wednesday.

High pressure fades to the southeast while a weak warm front approaches from the southwest sending a few showers Friday night into early Saturday. Variable sunshine occurs with isolated showers thereafter on Sunday and Monday with moderate to strong southwest winds and building seas. A cold front will approach on Tuesday delivering showers and a chance of thunder.

High pressure to our north will provide mainly fair weather today and tomorrow while yesterday’s front lingers to our southwest. As the high moves to our southeast on Friday some of the remnant moisture from the front will bring a few showers Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Light to moderate winds increase moderate on Saturday and moderate to strong by Monday. Seas will remain slight to moderate.

Rain and showers with moderate to strong winds

A cold front moving in from the north brings periods of rain, showers and moderate to strong winds today. The front moves through by this evening. A transitory high pressure system brings light to moderate winds Thursday and Friday as it finally moves off to our southeast. Returning moisture brings a few showers with moderate to strong winds on Saturday. Seas remain slight to moderate through Saturday.

Moderate winds prevail whlie conditions turn showery.

Surface pressure decreases as a frontal boundary nears from the north. Showers develop even ahead of a shallow low center transiting overhead on Wednesday with widespread rain and showers, a risk of thunder and moderate to strong winds. Otherwise, mainly moderate south-westerlies to westerlies sharply veer northeast by Thursday, when conditions improve. Smooth to slight seas build slight to moderate tonight.

A dry Monday will be followed by increasing clouds, showers and chances for thunder on Tuesday and Wednesday as low pressure tracks to our north, and eventually a cold front passes towards Wednesday afternoon. Conditions improve for Thursday and Friday as high pressure returns. Smooth to slight seas build moderate near mid-week.

The ridge of high pressure over Bermuda will provide another day with light winds and smooth seas today. Winds increase light to moderate Monday. Conditions deteriorate on Tuesday as a cold front approaches to the north bringing showers and a chance of thunder with moderate winds Tuesday and moderate to strong winds Wednesday. Seas rise to slight on Tuesday and moderate on Wednesday.
