High pressure is centred to our southeast and a slow moving cold front to our northwest. After a bright start today, tropical moisture moving up from the south will converge with the approaching front. A few showers and a chance of thunder this afternoon will deteriorate into frequent showers and thunderstorms from Friday until Monday.

Sunshine continues… however this morning the weather man is predicting “Unsettled weather on the horizon”Interesting:  “Isolated showers with an odd thunderstorm or two is expected this festive weekend; slightly increasing on Sunday as winds strengthen due to an approaching frontal boundary. Conditions will deteriorate from Monday with strong southwesterly winds and rough seas setting in as well as gusty showers and thunderstorms.”
