For the start of Bermuda Day a ridge of high pressure settles overhead, thus the morning begins cool with mainly light breezes but by mid-afternoon a moderate southwest flow draws in warmer air with increasing humidity. This sets up for the next cold front sweeping through early Saturday morning with showers and strong winds; cloudy skies linger into Sunday. Moderate seas rise to rough Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.
