Low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes drives near-gale west-southwesterly winds over the region. Isolated showers develop under this regime but move along quickly. High pressure then builds for Saturday providing fine skies and easing winds, but soon to follow is another low pressure system with showers for Sunday.
