A cloudy to overcast morning with increasing showers

As high pressure continues to retreat to the east, a developing low pressure system to the south moves towards the area while a frontal boundary moves in from the northwest. Over the next few days, as the low pressure moves nearby to our west, cloudy conditions will persist with patchy to widespread rain, scattered showers and winds gusting to gale force. Slight to moderate seas build rough into midweek.

Early cloud gradually diminishes and getting warmer.

Although high pressure remains the dominant feature from the northeast with a moderate easterly wind, areas of low level convergence will aid isolated showers developing at times. An inverted trough to the east may also introduce a couple of isolated showers around the area. Convergence lingers over the area next week and may bring the greater potential for wet weather. calm through the weekend.

Cloudy skies clear to let afternoon sunshine in.

In the wake of the front, lingering low cloud will thicken at times and may produce patchy light drizzle. Strong high pressure passes to our north, maintaining an easterly breeze and in turn moderate seas. As the ridge axis shifts, we should see a trend towards fair conditions this weekend, though a random shower or two cannot be ruled out.

Humidity on the rise.

As a nearby high pressure weakens, scattered showers will move in from the south. Winds will increase later tomorrow as a front moves in from the northwest, bringing a little bit of everything to us from wind, sun to rain. Then by the end of the week, the boundary will disintegrate and the occasionally wet regime will begin to dry out into the weekend.

Hazy sunshine to greet the day.

Brief high pressure ensures a largely fair Tuesday with mostly light winds. The high then recedes towards the east, allowing increasingly humid air to approach from the south with isolated to scattered showers developing. Moderate seas diminish slight tonight, before rebuilding moderate again on Thursday.

Turning increasing cloudy and breezy…

High pressure drifting away this morning will allow low pressure moving to the north to steer a weakening frontal boundary into the area with a few showers and strengthening winds. Conditions will begin to ease later this evening while temperatures will remain near average for the next few days.

An elongated area of low pressure to the north sends a cold front into the area today. Expect patchy rain and scattered showers to develop with the risk of thunder. The locally wet weather lingers into Thursday, when conditions gradually improve thanks to building high pressure. Moderate to strong southwest winds veer northeast behind the front and slowly ease. Moderate seas diminish later this week.
