Strong winds may reach gale force for a time early this morning with stronger gusts around any heavy showers. Cool and breezy with occasional light showers.
High pressure over the northeastern U.S. will slowly drift east-southeast to our north by Saturday morning cutting off the cold northerly flow. A complex, non-tropical low pressure system is forecast to develop off of the southeastern coast of the United States by Saturday bringing strong to gale force winds with near storm force gusts to Bermuda Saturday night and Sunday morning. Expect rough to very rough seas through the weekend.

A slow moving front will start to bring isolated showers south-eastwards across the area from the late afternoon. The front will linger to our south tomorrow before returning northwards on Thursday night. Another front is then expected later on Friday and into Saturday with heavier and more frequent showers as well as the risk of thunder. The Bermuda-Azores high will continue to dominate the forecast over the coming few days. This will result in mainly sunny conditions, although a weak trough will bring isolated showers to the area later tonight before clearing into tomorrow afternoon with another trough following later on Wednesday. Moderate winds are expected to ease slightly on Tuesday with mainly moderate seas outside the reef continuing.

Isolated showers and moderate to strong winds are likely today as high pressure builds in from the northwest. The high will pass nearby on Thursday thus winds and seas decrease, though winds increase again on Friday, yet mainly dry. Hurricane Oscar is not a threat to Bermuda, however easterly swell continues today before diminishing tonight.
