High pressure will bring mainly fine conditions with light, variable winds and slight to moderate seas through today and much of tomorrow. However, during tomorrow night, winds will increase, possibly reaching strong as a front moves across with showers. Fair conditions quickly return Saturday with winds easing light to moderate before the next front approaches late Sunday night.

A trail of instability lingers in our area in the wake of a departed cold front. This will result in isolated to at times scattered showers remaining in the area, particularly from this evening into early Wednesday. High pressure, albeit fairly weak will take over thereafter with generally fair conditions on Thursday and Friday. Rough seas slowly abate to moderate on Wednesday, then slight to moderate on Thursday and Friday.

Showers, chance thunder this afternoon with strong winds.


Deepening low pressure to our northwest will move northeast driving a cold front through Bermuda this evening. Moderate to strong winds increase to strong today. Patchy light showers tonight become more widespread with periods of rain and a chance of thunder this afternoon through this evening. As the front clears southeast a trail of instability follows with a few showers Tuesday and Wednesday.

A slow moving cold front spreads rain, showers along with a chance of thunder eastward to be over Bermuda today then ever so slowly slides southeast towards evening when conditions begin to improve. High pressure will take over and provide for dry and settled conditions through New year’s Eve and into Tuesday then the winds start to increase though staying dry into mid-week. Moderate seas abate slight to moderate during the day on Sunday.

High pressure now to our east will gradually move southward forming a broad ridge from the Bahamas eastward by tonight. Winds increase moderate to strong today in advance of an approaching cold front which will bring rain or showers and a chance of thunder tonight and tomorrow. Winds ease light to moderate Sunday as the front pushes on and high pressure builds to the north. Seas will remain slight to moderate.

A broad area of high pressure now over eastern Canada will gradually move to our east providing fair weather through sunset on Saturday. Light to moderate winds increase moderate to strong for a time later this morning and afternoon. A cold front will move in from the northwest Saturday night with moderate to strong winds, showers and a chance of thunder. Slight to moderate seas prevail throughout the period.
