The Bermuda Weather Service advises “Hold onto your hats, and anything else that is easily blown around! Wet and windy conditions are expected for today with the heaviest rain, showers and embedded thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon. We have a gale warning valid for today through this evening.

A bright morning ahead despite the patchy cloud at times.



Enjoy the beautiful settled conditions this morning.  Our high pressure slowly moves away to the northeast and in its place we have a strong complex frontal system moving in.   Winds will strengthen later this afternoon.  Gale force winds, storm force gusts, heavy showers, and thunderstorms become likely as this front combs through the area on Saturday. Windy conditions are due to remain while cooler temperatures enter to close the weekend.

 Winds east-southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, gradually veering southeasterly and increasing 15 to 20 knots during afternoon, tending south-southeasterly towards evening

A sunny and brisk start to the day..
Expect a dry and sunny start to the week as high pressure exits to the east.An active cold front will bring a return of wet and windy weather by this evening. High pressure then returns tomorrow with drier weather before a series of low pressure systems skirt by to our distant north and south.

Winds variable 5 knots, soon settling southerly 5 to 10, then increasing 12 to 18 knots in the afternoon, then veering south-southwesterly 18 to 24 knots towards the evening with gusts to 35 knots in the evening, veering and easing west-northwesterly 12 to 18 knots towards dawn

A showery and breezy start to Sunday.



 
A trough moves into the area early this morning, introducing showers and strong and gusty winds for a time. Conditions then settle later today into Monday, before the next front approaches later Monday to bring further wet and windy weather. Seas are now building rough, before easing moderate later today.

 Winds northwesterly 18 to 24 knots gusts to 30 knots, easing 16 to 22 knots this afternoon

Thundery front clearing away east.


Last night`s active front gradually clears away east this morning to leave a drier afternoon. Another cold front then sweeps through the area tomorrow morning, bringing further showers and quite windy conditions.

A mostly dry and too warm January day ahead.
High pressure anchored to our east is holding the fair and dry regime over the area. Tomorrow, cloud begins to thicken and strong winds develop as a cold front moves into the area. Expect increased cloud cover and patchy rain/showers, mainly overnight into Saturday morning. Temperatures begin to drop over the weekend… Sigh.   Smooth to slight seas build moderate tomorrow.High near 23°C/74°F
