Improving conditions to start the weekend.


A few lingering showers, mainly to the south and east marine areas, this morning before conditions improve through the day with seas abating. High pressure will move through quickly as a front approaches overnight tomorrow. Behind the front expect northwesterly winds, a few isolated showers and moderate to sometimes rough seas for the first days of the new year.

It’s a little chilly out there

A narrow ridge will move through today before a broad low pressure center moves to the south through the overnight. Isolated showers will start this evening becoming scattered overnight with a chance of thunder, especially in the southern marine area, before trailing off tomorrow evening. A set of cold fronts will move through the area Sunday and Tuesday next week. Seas remain moderate through the period before becoming rough Tuesday.

Serious tank rain this morning.

Moderate to strong winds through evening.
Low pressure now centered near to our north will continue to deepen as it moves northeast today. Morning showers with a risk of thunder will diminish by midday, while moderate to strong winds linger into the evening. High pressure brings fair weather and light to moderate winds Friday. Another low brings rain and showers, strong winds and a risk of thunder again Saturday.

A ridge of high pressure will provide light to moderate winds today. Low pressure developing to our southwest will bring showers and strong winds late tonight and Thursday. The low will deepen and move rapidly northeast. Moderate winds return by Friday evening. Another low will bring rain and showers and moderate to strong winds again Saturday. Slight to moderate seas rise rough for a time Thursday afternoon through night.

A ridge dominates today delivering fair weather and light winds. The latter increase moderate to strong for Christmas Day ahead of a frontal trough approaching overnight. Shower activity increases to culminate with the frontal passage before winds sharply veer north and conditions improve through Wednesday. Expect slight to moderate seas throughout.

Fine and settled under an easterly breeze.
A ridge building into the area dominates through early Christmas Day with largely settled conditions and light to moderate winds. Fair skies until a weakening frontal trough crosses Bermuda into Boxing Day. Expect then a few showers with winds touching strong for a time ahead of the frontal trough. Slight to moderate seas throughout the forecast period.

A low pressure system continues to move away to the east today. In its wake, expect fair skies and a fresh to strong breeze from the northeast. High pressure builds from north through the afternoon easing winds to moderate. Fine weather follows for the weekend with a gentle breeze gradually veering southerly. In response to the lighter winds, moderate seas abate slight.

Conditions deteriorate today as a low pressure system tracks from west to east across Bermuda. Expect rain, scattered heavy showers, and a risk of thunder beginning near noon. Gradual improvement is expected in the evening as winds shift northeasterly. Fair conditions on Friday become fine for the weekend as high pressure builds from the north. Moderate seas briefly become rough this evening and tonight.

Fair with moderate winds increasing tonight.

Moderate winds and slight to moderate seas prevail today. Winds increase moderate to strong tonight as a cold front approaches to our north. Low pressure with the passing cold front brings showers Thursday morning and afternoon, followed by strong northerly winds and moderate to rough seas. Winds and seas both ease to moderate Friday as fair conditions return through the weekend.
