A warm frontal boundary is moving past Bermuda with a couple of early morning showers. The front will soon exit to the north allowing for improving conditions through the holiday, with mainly moderate winds. Increasing winds are likely late in the week, with probable showers on Friday. Slight to moderate seas become rough towards Friday.

A ridge of high pressure will continue to maintain fair conditions through Friday. A deepening low pressure system will move off the eastern US coast over the weekend and give Bermuda a decent chance at measurable rainfall by Sunday. Winds increase moderate to strong on Saturday and into Sunday in response to the approaching system. Seas build moderate to near rough over the weekend. (fingers crossed)

The Bermuda-Azores high remains anchored to our east extending a ridge to our south. This will maintain light to moderate winds and smooth to moderate seas through Friday. A cold front will stall near to our northwest later Thursday, blocked by the ridge, then turn north on Friday. Another, stronger front will bring strong winds and showers Saturday and Sunday…. wait for it…..

High pressure now centered to our east will gradually drift eastward while extending a ridge to our south. This will maintain light to moderate winds and smooth to moderate seas through Thursday and block an approaching cold front which will stall near to our north Thursday night. Winds gradually increase moderate to strong on Friday.

A dissipating frontal boundary near to our north may produce 1 or 2 light morning showers or patchy mist (translation: grey skies that will clear later) Light to moderate winds and smooth to moderate seas are expected to Friday as high pressure rebuilds over the region today, then moves off to our east by tomorrow. An approaching cold front will be blocked and stall near to our north on Thursday (translation: no rain for us)
